DonnaTheBuffalo.com--The band has just started to make some of its live shows available for download through its official web site in either MP3 ($7.95 per show) or FLAC ($9.95 per show). Currently, two shows are available: 5/13/05, Bowery Ballroom, New York, NY; and 5/14/05, The Funk Box, Baltimore, MD. The next show scheduled to be released is 6/12/05, Bonnaroo Music Festival, Manchester, TN. In addition, most of the band's studio releases are available as MP3 files for $9, and the rare, early White Tape and Red Tape for $8 each in MP3.

Funkyside.com--If you haven't already done so, go to this site and order one or all of the officially released Donna CDs: The Purple One, The Ones You Love, Rockin' In The Weary Land, Positive Friction, the live, double CD Live From The American Ballroom, Wait Til Spring(with Jim Lauderdale), and Life's A Ride are all good, and all worth owning, as are the various side projects. I feel strongly that since band is extremely generous with its taping and trading policies, and as a result, there's a ton of live shows available for free, buying all of the studio stuff is the right thing to do. Please consider it before downloading.

Donnafied.net--Chris Cantwell has very generously created this site, from which you can download in lossless audio formats (.flac, .ape, and .shn) live shows from Donna the Buffalo and other taper-friendly bands. Login info: host ftp://donnafied.net, username donna, password lifesaride. Donnafied.net also offers a message board, articles, Chris' blog, links, and more. Uploads are welcome; be sure to check the site's guidelines first.

Live Music Archive--On a recently visit, there were more than 220 Donna shows available for downloading, in shn, flac, and/or MP3 formats. Most shows are from 2003-2006, but there are some earlier ones, and new shows are being added constantly.

Herd message board--In the Music Exchange forum, some generous traders frequently offer vines or B&Ps of shows. If you're looking for a copy of a specific show or want to start a collection, people here are usually quick to help out.

donnabase.com--Just click on the Search for MP3s button, and all of your MP3 needs will be met. Note: If you plan on trading discs you make from these files, please make sure to clearly identify them as MP3 sourced.
