An Erie Shade Of Red Donna the Buffalo sure must like Forward Hall in Erie, PA. The band has played there seven times since January 1999. On the most recent visit, they broke out some rarely played tunes, including Hit The Groove, River of Gold, Thunder and Rain (for the first time since 9/14/03), and Wheels Keep Turning. Check out nine photos of Donna playing on 11/10/05 at Forward Hall in Erie, PA, which were shot by DonnaFans.com's most prolific contributor, Bob Bunce. (posted 11/23/05)7

Just Added: Photos From Lake Placid Donna the Buffalo's show last Thursday at the Center for the Arts in Lake Placid, NY was only the second time the band had played that town, and the first at that venue. The show started at a quarter to 8--extremely early by DtB standards--and included performances of three "new" songs, the names of which are still subject to debate. Bob Bunce gives us a feel of what it was like with seven photos of DtB's gig on 11/17/05 in Lake Placid. Bob, your ongoing dedication in photographing these shows is extremely appreciated! A Special Dedication On Saturday, 11/19, during their show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York, NY, Donna the Buffalo dedicated their performance of the song Funkyside to Glen Wagnecz, who recently passed away. Glen was an enthusiastic member of the NYC-area Herd, and his smiling face was a fixture at both Donna shows and music festivals up and down the East Coast. RIP Glen, and many thanks to the band for acknowledging one of their most dedicated fans. (posted 11/21/05)

DtB Interview In NJ Newspaper On Friday, 11/18, as a preview of tomorrow night's Donna the Buffalo show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York, NY, The Record (Bergen County, NJ) ran a short interview with Jeb by Jim Beckerman in their Entertainment section. Read it by going to www.bergen.com and clicking on Entertainment, then Music. (posted 11/18/05)

These shows will be followed by the previously announced gigs at Slims in San Francisco on 1/27/06 and at The Golden Nugget in Reno, NV on 1/28/05. As always, details and links to the venue's sites are on the Tour Dates page of DonnaTheBuffalo.com. (posted 11/18/05)

New Photos: The Gear, The Crew, And (Oh Yeah) The Band When Bob Bunce pulled out his camera to take photos of Donna the Buffalo’s show on 11/12/05 at Town Ballroom in Buffalo, NY, he decided to have a little fun. First he played around with the settings and took some psychedelicized photos, like the one at left. Then he thought some fans might be interested in seeing photos of the band’s instruments, so he shot close-ups of that. Finally, he thought there might be interest in photos of the crew as well. A few "normal" shots of the band, including a beautiful one of Kathy Z, finish the collection. Cool stuff, Bob! (posted 11/17/05)

New Photos: Millvale, PA 11/11/05 Last Friday night, Donna the Buffalo returned to Mr. Small's Theatre to play only their second gig there ever. The band played a solid mix of newer songs and old favorites (check out the setlist on Donnabase.com,) and encored with I Wish You Love and Me & Depression. Bob Bunce was on hand and caught 11 great shots of the band from 11/11/05 in Millvale, PA. Bob also photographed DtB shows the night before (in Erie, PA) and after (in Buffalo), which I'll be adding to DonnaFans.com soon. Thanks, Bob! (posted 11/14/05)

Southeast Tour In Mid January After their annual New Year's Eve show in St. Petersburg, FL, Donna the Buffalo will play shows in West Huntsville, AL (1/10/06); Birmingham, AL (1/11); Raleigh, NC (1/12); Atlanta, GA (1/13); and Asheville, NC (1/14). After a short break, the band will head out for its first west coast tour in years (keep an eye on the Tour Dates page of DonnaTheBuffalo.com.

Flashback: Floyd Fest 2004 While most of the photos on DonnaFans.com are of recent shows, sometimes it's nice to round out the archives with images of gigs from days gone by. Here Warren "Cat" Catlett shares with us eight shots from 8/14/04 at Floyd Fest in Floyd, VA. Thanks, Cat--these photos bring back many fond memories of the Jim Miller-era DtB. (posted 11/13/05)

First Of The West Coast Dates Are Confirmed Donna the Buffalo has announced that it will play at Slims in San Francisco on 1/27/06 and at The Golden Nugget in Reno, NV on 1/28/05. Details and links to the venue's sites are on the Tour Dates page of DonnaTheBuffalo.com. Since you just know the band isn't going all the way out there just for two shows, look for more West Coast dates to be confirmed shortly. (posted 11/10/05)

Fun In Falls Church, VA On Saturday, 10/15/05, Donna the Buffalo performed at the State Theatre in Falls Church, VA, a venue they've played six times since 2001. Virginian Warren "Cat" Catlett did an exceptional job of capturing the action with a disposable camera, and shares with us eight photos from the band's 10/15/05 show in Falls Church, VA, including one of Jeb smiling like a Buddha, and another of a very focused Kathy Z. Thanks, Cat, and I'm looking forward to adding more of your photos soon. (posted 11/10/05)

Hot Rumor: DtB To Do A West Coast Tour In January! The word from a very reliable source is that Donna the Buffalo will soon announce dates for shows on the west coast in mid- to late-January 2006. The tentative agenda calls for a tour that will start in Seattle, with stops in Portland and/or Eugene, then San Francisco, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles CA, with dates in Phoenix and possibly Denver on the way home. The band has not played on the west coast since July 2004 (High Sierra Music Fest, Quincy, CA). (posted 11/8/05)

Do Buffalo Ski? Apparently So In March 2005, Donna the Buffalo played two shows at the Sandbar in Vail, CO. While they were there, friends of the band gave them a taste of skiing, Colorado-style. Bill Reynolds shared with me this pretty cool photo of himself, Jordy, Shannon, Kathy Z, and friends. Thanks, Bill--it sure looks like you all were having a good time. (posted 11/8/05)

Live From MagFest, It's Saturday Night! As promised, I've just added more of Bob Bunce's photos of Donna at MagFest 2005 in Live Oak, FL, this time 11 images of the band's peformance on Saturday night, 10/22/05. These are in addition to the dozen photos Bob generously shared of DtB's peformance earlier that day with Jim Lauderdale. If the fest was even half as good as these photos suggest, it must have been excellent. Thanks again, Bob! (posted 11/1/05)
